When does the meter reading take place?

the meter reading is done:
every four months in urban area
every six months in rural area .

Meter self reading

If you are absent at the date of the meter reading by STEG agent, you may proceed to a self meter reading and transmit the figures to your district.
if you are always absent from home the day of meter reading, you should fix an appointment with the district to allow at least one meter reading per  year.
In the event of prolonged absence, higher than two months, and to avoid the invoicing of installment, to communicate to your district the following form filled.
