Pilot Project NYAGATARE/ RWANDA: Rural Electrification of 4000 new consumers.
The Rwandan electricity company Electrogaz entrusted to SIS the realization of a pilot project in single-phased (MALT, SWER) to electrify 4000 new connections (households, schools, health centers, crafts)
The project consists in electrifying in single-phased 6 agglomerations located in the north east of Rwanda in the district of Nyagatare, approximately 160 km of the capital Kigali.
It consists to carry out within a year:
50 km of MV network
45 km of LV network
45 switchyards single-phase MV/LV
4000 new subscribers
The material is, for 90%, of tunisian manufacture (poles, cables, electric meters, single-phased transformer, lines accessories).
The network MV/LV construction, the planting and the erection of the transformers and the meters will be ensured by STEG technicians and specialists.
SIS will assist ELECTROGAZ during the preparation of its national electrification programme in particular its staff training in Tunisia and Rwanda.
