When does the meter reading take place?

the meter reading is done:

  • every four months in urban area 
  • every six months in rural area .

 Meter self reading 

  • If you are absent at the date of the meter reading by STEG agent, you may proceed to a self meter reading and transmit the figures to your district. 
  • if you are always absent from home the day of meter reading, you should fix an appointment with the district to allow at least one meter reading per  year.
  • In the event of prolonged absence, higher than two months, and to avoid the invoicing of installment, to communicate to your district the following form filled.
